Here are some images from the book:

Lycian mountains

The area is part of the Taurus mountain range, much of which is composed of limestone formed in an ancient ocean known as 'Tethys'. However, in Lycia there is a lot more than just limestone!

Some of the rocks show extreme deformation such as these folded limestones and shales. These folds can tell you exactly from which direction the movement came.

Butterfly valley

A gorge, only reachable by boat, which is a recommended visit in the itinerary section.

                                    Oren

Not just a beautiful picnic site, but with some interesting geology and good archaeological visits en route.
