Stone tool workshop

Saturday 24th September 2011, 10.00-3.00 pm, £25

High Wycombe, Bucks

This fascinating workshop will use a selection of real artefacts, mostly from the UK , for hands-on use.

l How do you  recognise a stone tool from just a broken flint?

l How did ancient people make stone tools?

l What are they made from?

l How old are they?

l What were they used for?

Plus lots more of things to do with them!

This is a really interesting course with extensive handouts and is suitable for beginners. However, I have extra and more complex handouts for those that already know a little about stone tools – so this is a workshop for everyone.

By the end of the day you will know a lot more about how our ancestors made and used these tools and you will be able to recognise the main types.
