Geology
and archaeology of Lycia, Turkey 1

Olu Deniz, near Fethiye. (in a comfortable, well-run, family hotel with two swimming pools, tennis, a good restaurant, bar, and air conditioning.) Lycia is a
fascinating, beautiful and, as yet, unspoilt part of southern Turkey. This tour
includes the best of all the archaeological sites nearby, as well as the
knowledgeable guidance of our Turkish contact (Anthea) on the local natural
history and local customs and, of course, my own geological gems. This
combination makes the tour quite unique. The tour
itinerary will
include the following:
The cost
of £695 includes almost everything you will need over the
week and is amazing good value: Included: flights Gatwick to Dalaman; transfers from and to the airport in Turkey; all coach transport to sites each day; B&B; 2 picnic lunches, lunch on board our boat on the Lycian coastline day; all archaeological site entrance fees; most morning or afternoon tea/coffee stops; guided tours throughout; the local guide’s costs; 1 boat charter for a full day at the delta at Dalyan; 1 boat charter for a full day along the Lycian coastline. Lots of other things will be added, to surprise you, as they happen! Not included: evening meals, drinks, insurance. To

This is our base, the hotel is just a few minutes walk away in a very quiet part of the resort.
